Just as the architect must develop a vision of what is to be achieved, so today's managers must have a clear vision of the future to be effective leaders. The manager's vision must establish the business mission, its goals, strategies and action plans that, when brought together, provide a complete definition of what must be achieved, on what time scale, and by whom. In THE CHANGE AGENT, the viability of management and financial goals and strategies are validated against the changing business environment of the organisation including the economy, the market, the customer's needs and developing technology. By modelling the external market and internal factors which may affect a goal's viability, we ensure that only realistic goals enter the business planning process.

With a coherent change analysis methodology, managers can consider the effects of changing circumstances on long term goals. More importantly, they are challenged to consider how they would manage alternative paths into the future.

Just as the architect's Blueprint provides the detailed specifications of their vision, and the basis of implementation for the builder, so today's managers specify what is required of their business, their strategies and action plans. These are based on assumptions about their workforce and the changing business environment in which they operate. The "Strategic Action" module of THE CHANGE AGENT provides the ability to find the optimum link between the manager's rapidly changing business environment, and the workforce's capability to implement. The implementation capacity for each strategy is summarised as a colour coded success forecast. This provides management with the insights needed to modify budgets and adjust their strategic approach before embarking upon action which has a low chance of success.

The most critical element of the implementation phase is having the right people with the right knowledge and skills in the right place, at the right time. The "Job Affinity" module is the most powerful element of THE CHANGE AGENT, because it gives the manager the ability to link business's changing management and financial goals directly to staff capabilities. Job Affinity allows the manager to assess whether the core competencies needed to accomplish the organisation's mission are available. It also enables the manager to design and/or evaluate the jobs and employees within the organisation in a simple and consistent manner.

This module can be used to reconfigure the skills base of an organisation. It can also be used for recruiting, promotion, performance appraisal, training needs analysis, skills analysis and long term HR Planning.

DRAKE PRODUCTIVITY ENGINEER (DPE) is an easy to use software based productivity analysis and evaluation system. It is designed to enable you to compare your industrial and administrative work activities against an accurate benchmark. It does this by measuring productivity against your own targets or targets developed by its internationally recognised standard times. These standards are based on the best working methods for performing work activities. Two parts of DPE are available separately. One of these is "Cost Controller" which determines staff levels under fluctuating workloads. Drake Online is an Internet based supply chain management system used by clients to manage the ordering, fulfillment, time sheeting and invoicing processes associated with temporary and contract staff. The system includes online ordering, order history, timesheet approval and status, invoicing and payments as well as comprehensive management reports. Reports can be used to extract data from Drake Online for use by clients in their own systems.

For clients, Drake Online

  • Reduces cost by streamlining the temporary staffing procure-to-pay process.
  • Provides a single, automatic audit trail for purchase order to invoice reconciliation.
