All recruitment information received from the client is confidential and is used only upon direct instruction. The following steps outline Drake's standard recruitment and selection process for all permanent applications. All applicants complete these steps in order to pre-qualify and create a match between candidates to client job positions.
Face-to-Face Position Profile
It is our policy to establish a one-to-one, consultative relationship with our clients to work as a team to ensure that all of your specific requirements are met in a cost-effective manner.
An initial meeting between a client representative and a Drake consultant will provide a full understanding of the client's operations, the industry, how the vacant position fits into the organization, the position's responsibilities, the direct work environment and the values held by the direct report manager.
The benefits of identifying these intangibles are of vital importance to the performance of new employees.
File Search and Advertising
Upon receipt of the job specification from the client, an on-line computerized file search of our candidate banks is performed. Suitable candidate profiles will be extracted and evaluated for placement, and quite often, a same day referral will be made to the client.
On occasion, to provide the client with a larger selection of candidates, an advertisement will be placed in the appropriate media.
Our consultants are skilled in creating advertisements that immediately attract suitable applicants. All applicants are interviewed by telephone and our consultants will request the resumes of suitable applicants to be forwarded that day for consideration. The resumes will be reviewed by the consultant to identify those applicants who meet the selection criteria of the client. Those selected will be immediately contacted for an interview and assessments with Drake.
Interviewing
Drake uses the most effective method of interviewing, Behavioral Descriptive Interviewing. The basic principle of this interviewing technique is based on the ideal that the best predictor of future behavior is past behavior in similar circumstances.
All candidates considered suitable for the client position will be asked the same questions relating to the relevant selection criteria. This will ensure that evaluation of all candidates is based upon the same factors. Only those candidates successful at this stage will be considered for further assessments.
Skills Assessment and Personality Profiles
To provide the client with candidates who best fit the selection criteria, each candidate will complete the appropriate specialized Drake assessments selected by our consultants. The results will be analyzed to contribute to the final candidate recommendations to be made to the client.

ADEX ® - a proprietary computer-based assessment tool developed in eight modules to measure specific skills and behaviors.
Kryterion ® - a Drake proprietary interactive testing and evaluation system which accurately measures an individual's software application knowledge and skill level. Kryterion assesses three skill levels - beginner, intermediate, and advanced. These assessments precisely define the knowledge and competence of the candidate's computer skills.
Drake P3 ® - Drake P3 is a state-of-the-art behavior assessment and development technology.
Drake TeamWorks ® and Triage ® - Known as Drake TeamWorks ® in North America, and Triage ® in Europe and Asia Pacific, this system is a powerful management tool for determining:

Reference Checking
Reference checking is viewed by Drake as an essential component of the screening process. Information gained by the consultant enables verification of personal facts provided by the candidate and ascertains strengths, weaknesses and work attitudes.
Our consultants obtain a minimum of two references directly from past employers and, if possible, on a face-to-face basis.
The reference information is added to all other data to provide an overall picture of the candidate's suitability to meet the client's needs.
Candidate Selection and Client Interviewing
Upon completion of our screening and appraisal process, the candidates who best meet the selection criteria will be identified by our consultants and referred to the client for consideration. The client will be provided with candidate resumes, test results and justification for the referral by our consultants.
Interviews will be scheduled at times suitable for the client. Our consultant will coordinate and confirm the candidates' attendance at the agreed times.
Interviews can be held on client premises, or using the local Drake office and interview rooms at no extra charge.
Client and Candidate Feedback
Our consultants will follow-up with each candidate after an interview to obtain feedback concerning the position and the interview. Our consultants are skilled in sourcing both positive and negative feedback from the candidate to ensure that the client will be provided with a person who truly wants the placement.
Drake will provide the client with the candidates' feedback and seek feedback from you regarding the interviewed candidates. This data will be analyzed to ensure the best possible match for the client and the new employee.
Acceptance Confirmed
Drake will contact the successful candidate on the client's behalf to offer the position and discuss salary, start date and other relevant information. The client will be immediately informed of the candidate's acceptance.
Unsuccessful candidates will be contacted by our consultants and provided with feedback on the selection process.
The client will then commence its internal employment procedures with the selected candidate.
After Placement Service
The progress of each employee placed with the client will be monitored by our consultants for the duration of the guarantee period. Advice and assistance will be provided where necessary to ensure the client's complete satisfaction with Drake's recruitment and selection service.
Guarantee
Drake International's guarantee is to replace a candidate within a specified agreed upon period of time if their performance proves unsatisfactory.

Re-contacting Hired Applicants
Clients may be reluctant to turn to a permanent recruitment service out of concern that the service may, at a later date, re-contact a hired applicant with the intention of placing them again with another company. At Drake our Creed specifies that we will not work with an employee we have placed in a position within one year of placement, unless the applicant has first indicated they have formally resigned or are looking for a change from their present position. We do not recruit (head-hunt) candidates from our clients.

The Drake Creed, a code of ethics by which Drake has conducted business since conception, specifically prohibits the use of any advertising which could be construed as false or misleading.
